The Woman in the Window

Dr. Anna Fox (Amy Adams) lives alone in a huge house in New York. Despite the husband and child, from whom she lives separately, she is considered a loner, who barely sets foot outside due to an anxiety disorder.
She usually spends her time watching old black and white films, with a glass or two of Merlot and tablets. When the Russell family moves into the house across the street, there is a change in Anna’s dreary everyday life. She spends the evening with her new neighbor Jane (Julianne Moore) and occasionally watches the family through the window. But one night she witnesses a brutal act of violence.
The shocking event shakes their world. When Anna is supposed to prove that what she saw has actually happened, the question arises whether it was maybe just imagination and a fantasy product of her drifting mind? Finally, her medications also provoke delusions, which is why the police do not want to investigate further. Anna’s own insecurity grows and she also has to question what is real and what is not – does she still succeed in proving the crime?
