The Lego Batman Movie: Spin-off of the surprise hit “The Lego Movie” from 2014, this time focusing on the dark knight Batman.
After the great success of The LEGO Movie experienced Batman (in English spoken by Will Arnett, in German David Nathan) his first solo adventure. This time it’s about the question of whether the grim crime fighter really can be happy. Despite his immeasurable fortune, the loyal butler Alfred (Ralph Fiennes) and a bath cave full of hi-tech gadgets, Bruce Wayne prefers to spend his sleepless nights alone. That changes when he accidentally adopted a little boy at a gala. Dick Grayson alias Robin (Michael Cera, in German Luke Mockridge) becomes a faithful, if somewhat annoying companion. When Batman is calm, brooding and deadly serious, Rayman Robin becomes all the happier and more enthusiastic. That it comes to Zoff between the two is actually preprogrammed. Nevertheless, the superteam clutches again and again, because they have a big mission: to protect Gotham City from evil. When the arch-rascal Joker (Zach Galifianakis, in German “Gronkh”) makes the city insecure, the two really have to work together. Joker actually just wants to play and finally be respected by Batman with his crazy tricks.
