The King of Staten Island

Tragedy comedy about a lovable loser who begins to rearrange his life in his mid-twenties
At just seven years old, Scott (Pete Davidson) lost his father when he was a fireman. He is now in his mid-twenties and still lives at home with his revised mother (Marisa Tomei) in the Staten Island district of New York. While his sister is going to college, he’s hanging out at parties, taking drugs, and dreaming of getting started as a tattoo artist.
When his mother introduces a new man (Bill Burr) at her side at home who is of course a fireman, it starts working in Scott. Bit by bit, he rethinks his previous life, begins to question the past. While he cannot understand how firefighters do their life-threatening jobs with children every day, he wants to make a fresh start as a fireman of all things. He receives support from Papa (Steve Buscemi), the veteran among the firefighters.
