January 15, 2009. The entire world witnessed the so-called “Miracle on the Hudson” when American pilot Chesley Burnett “Sully” Sullenberger landed an Airbus A320 emergency landing in the icy waters of the Hudson River. Sully, who was forced to take drastic measures to avoid certain death, managed to save the lives of the 155 passengers and crew on board.
