Ryme City is a modern metropolis where people and Pokémon live together peacefully. But there has been a lot of commotion in the city lately. When the young Tim Goodman (Justice Smith) comes to Ryme City, he searches for his father, the private detective Harry Goodman (Paul Kitson), who has been missing for several months. Even Harry’s friend, Detective Yoshida (Ken Watanabe), has no clue. There is something wrong. Then Tim meets his father’s old partner: Detective Pikachu.
Tim has never experienced anything like this – Pikachu is the first Pokémon he can understand. Pikachu may be a bit precocious, but he is a clever snoop. The investigation of Tim’s father was sabotaged, but Pikachu has lost any memory due to an attack. Together, Tim and master detective Pikachu set out in search of Harry Goodman, exposing a conspiracy that endangers the coexistence of humans and Pokémon.
