No Man’s Land – Expedition Antarctica: Documentary by Johannes Aitzetmüller about the freeriders Matthias Haunholder and Matthias Mayr, who discover new ski slopes in the untouched nature of the Antarctic.
Due to its extreme cold and drought, the Antarctic is considered a place that is not only inhospitable, but absolutely unsuitable for skiing. The two freeriders Matthias Haunholder and Matthias Mayr were not deterred by that. In the film by cinematographer Johannes Aitzetmüller, the extreme athletes set off on an expedition to the Antarctic, where they discover new, spectacular ski slopes, among others, on Mount Vinson.
The freeriders Matthias Haunholder, Matthias Mayr and the cameraman Johannes Aitzetmüller covered 150 kilometers in the Antarctic by ski and kite. The film documents the arduous path of adventure and its struggle with the elements, with cold and wind. They were supported by cooperation partner BMW.
