Fantasy Island

Horror film, in which the desires of guests are to be fulfilled on a dream island, who quickly turn into nightmares.
Five people can hardly believe their luck when they won a weekend trip to a paradise resort called Fantasy Island in a competition. The organizer Mr. Roarke (Michael Pena) promises that the remote island is a place where everything is possible and the deepest desires of every guest are fulfilled.
Pretty Melanie (Lucy Hale) wants to take revenge on a childhood tormentor (Portia Doubleday). Seasoned Gwen (Maggie Q) wants to eradicate the biggest mistake in her life, while Randall (Austin Stowell) seeks the thrill. On the other hand, Brax (Jimmy O. Wang) and his best friend Bradley (Ryan Hansen) want to celebrate the party of their lives with every comfort.
Soon, however, the wishes and desires will turn into nightmares come true. What does Mr. Roarke actually plan with the guests? Why is Melanie’s torturer really on the island? And how can guests escape from the island alive?
The concept of “Fantasy Island” is not new. From 1977 to 1984, the greatest longings of luxury guests were fulfilled in 152 episodes. The magical host Mr. Roarke shows his guests important ways of life with simple hand movements. Hardly any guest ever wants to return after the three-day stay, but everyone is overjoyed.
Since 2018, plans have been in the room to reevaluate the successful series from a horror film. Successful producer Jason Blum (“Get Out”) supports the project, directed by Jeff Wadlow (“Truth or Dare”). Michael Rooker (“Guardians of the Galaxy”) can be seen in other roles.
