The war against Thanos goes into the second round – can the united superheroes of the Avengers and the Guardians of the Galaxy defeat the tyrant this time?
After the events of “Avengers 3: Infinity War” the fight against Thanos (Josh Brolin) is far from over. The sequel called “Avengers 4: Endgame” was filmed by brothers Joe and Anthony Russo at the same time as its predecessor. Fans all over the world are eagerly awaiting the film, which will be screened in German cinemas from April 24, 2019. The first reactions after the premiere sound already more than promising!
Originally, “Avengers 3” and “Avengers 4” were announced under the title “Infinity War Part 1” and “Part 2”. The title indicated that there was a close connection between the two superhero films. However, Marvel mastermind Kevin Feige kept rowing, possibly to fuel the suspense of the fourth part. Anyone who has seen “Avengers 3” will already have a premonition of how things could go on. Only so much: Despite heavy losses, the danger is not banished by Thanos.
So far one can only speculate about the further course of the war. At this point follow spoilers for the possible plot of “Avengers 4: Endgame”! If you have not seen “Avengers 3” yet, do not read on!
Because the sad fact is: At the end of “Avengers 3” Thanos wins and destroys half of the universe. Is it even possible to undo this debacle?
It is clear that after the devastating half-galaxy snap of Thanos, the Avengers do not sink into self-pity and stick their heads in the sand. Instead, they reform and do everything in their power to bring back their families, friends, and the remaining half of the earth’s population. But how can the overpowering Thanos be defeated and his fingering undone?
For months, fans write their fingers sore online and wildly discuss a variety of approaches. To what extent time travel, parallel realities, Thor’s brother Loki and Ant-Man could play a role, remains questionable until the film’s launch on April 24, 2019.
The makers of the film are now real masters of secrecy. Unfortunately, in the past, this did not always go quite according to plan, so a star had to turn five different ends (you probably can guess who hit it, but we’ll solve it anyway: Mark Ruffalo). These dummy scenes are not used for the movie but merely to confuse the stars in such a way that they do not even know how the movie ends.
Already before the theatrical release, “Avengers 4” broke records: The rush for ticket sales was so great that many sides collapsed and fans sometimes spent hours in front of their screens to secure tickets.
With the fourth Avengers movie Marvel concludes phase three of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. How it continues with the most successful superhero universe in the world depends on which heroes survive the fight against Thanos. The cast of “Avengers 4” already reads like the Who’s Who of Hollywood.
