Apollo 11

On the occasion of the 50th anniversary, a documentary comes to the cinemas, which brings the moon landing on the screen with unprecedented original recordings.
Producer and director Todd Douglas Miller (“Dinosaur 13”) brings 50 years after the historic event of the moon landing a new documentary about the much-received topic in theaters. Just last year, Damien Chazelle’s feature film “Departing to the Moon” was released focusing on Neil Armstrong (Ryan Gosling), the first man on the moon.
Miller’s documentary, on the other hand, relies on never-before-seen, original footage from NASA, which has been digitally edited and optimized for the cinema screen. Underpinned what is seen also with original sound recordings, on an explanatory comment is omitted. So the spectator can relive the event with a bit of advance from the start of the rocket, the flight to the moon, the landing, the famous first steps to the return flight to earth.
