In backpack paradise Brazil, a small group of young women embark on an adventurous trip away from the beaten tourist paths. A local guide tells you about a hidden Mayan underwater ruin.
They decide to go to the Underwater Cave and explore them together. During their dive they come across a variety of relics from the Mayan period. But suddenly they realize that they are not the only ones in the cave: the labyrinth of the cenote is the territory of sharks! In the group panic breaks out, can they escape the underwater killers?
The continuation of the shark-thriller “47 Meters Down” relies on well-known faces: Johannes Roberts took another seat on the director’s chair and collaborated with Ernest Riera on the script. The cast list can boast great surnames: both Sistine Rose Stallone (daughter of Sylvester Stallone) and Corinne Foxx (daughter of Jamie Foxx) make their feature film debut in “47 Meters Down – Uncaged”. Among other things, the young women are supported by Nia Long (“Big Mama’s House”, “Empire”), Brec Bassinger (“School of Rock”), Sophie NĂ©lisse (“The Book Thief”) and John Corbett (“Sex and the City”). , “My big fat greek wedding”).
After the first part drew a surprising number of visitors to the US cinemas, it quickly became clear that “47 Meters Down” will continue. In Germany, the film was released directly on DVD and Blu-ray, but the sequel also makes it to a German theatrical release – from 10 October 2019 is the shark horror, which also under the titles “48 Meters Down” and “47 Meters Down : Next Chapter “is known to see in this country in the cinema.
